Kelly Schroeder (right), Class of 2007, was one of 2 South African audiologists invited to Belgium by Cochlear. Meghan McCoy and Kelly will be attending a course on how to approach Cochlear Implant complex cases as well as a course in advanced programming and NRT’s.
At the University of the Free State's Excellence in Teaching and Learning Award Ceremony, Riebeek Old Girl Linley Myburg Fourie, Head Girl 2006, received the award for the university's Most Valued Professional (aka MVP). Linley has been part of the Higher Education work environment for over a decade and has worked as an instructional designer for over five years. Two other awards were allocated to courses she designed and supported: Award for Student Engagement for a first-year Communication Sciences course, and the Award for Curriculum Development and Innovation in a first-year Classical Studies course. Old Girl Lungi Solomon (Class of 2011) studied at Netcare Education towards a diploma in nursing. She has worked at the pediatric ward of Greenacres Hospital for 3 years where she spreads love and humour among the little patients and gives the parents reassurance and calmness. We are proud.
Mrs Lesley Young found this photo of a Victorian tea party the Literature girls had! She remembers baking muffins when muffins were still largely unknown. This was in about 1993.
Mrs Stear was visited by Old Girl Sheila Liddiard nee LittleFord who attended Riebeek for Std 6,7,8, (grade 8, 9, 10) and left in 1947. At Riebeek, she participated in diving, swimming and hockey. Her sister, Wendy LittleFord Greef now resides in Jeffreys Bay. Mrs Liddiard is a resident at Rosa Munch Retirement Home and Denise Cunningham, who attended Riebeek at the same time, resides there too. She donated her tailor made Old Girls Blazer to the school.

Wall of Remembrance
The Wall of Remembrance situated across from the school’s library is a memorial to those who have passed away and who were connected to Riebeek College in some way. The inscription on the wall is “Resting where no shadows fall” and was selected by Mrs Marilyn Woods. The Wall of Remembrance was initiated by the Riebeek College Old Girls’ Association.
